I hope you’re tired of not being a millionaire because the Shadowverse Open: Brigade of the Sky is just around the corner – and with it, more chances to compete in the Contenders Cup LIVE in Los Angeles. To give you a clearer picture of our plans for 2018, we’ve put together a roadmap of everything leading up to the World Grand Prix, and its $1,000,000 first place prize.

Shadowverse Open: Brigade of the Sky (July 14th, 2018 – September 23rd, 2018)

The final 2018 Season of SVO is about to begin. In it, players from Pan-America and Europe will compete in weekly open tournaments for up to 30,000 Vials and exclusive flairs.

Additionally, all participants will be given an exclusive SVO: Brigade of the Sky in-game emblem that you won’t be able to get anywhere else!


After 5 open qualifiers, the top 8 players from each region will compete in the Regional Finals for their piece of the $16,000 prize pool, and a guaranteed spot in the Contenders Cup.

Players from Southeast Asia & Oceania (SEAO) can also compete in special monthly tournaments for emblems, flairs, and a $1000 prize pool.

Shadowverse World Circuit: Singapore (August 11th, 2018 – August 12th, 2018) – Register Here

Players from across the world will come together at Bugis+ Shopping Mall to compete for a piece of the $10,000 total prize pool, and a guaranteed slot at the SEAO Contenders Cup.

All participants will get an exclusive Shadowverse World Circuit: Singapore 2018 emblem and the player with the highest rank at the end of the Swiss phase will receive the Shadowverse World Circuit: Singapore 2018 MVP flair.

Shadowverse World Circuit: Montreal (September 8th, 2018 – September 9th, 2018) – Get Tickets

Players from across the world will battle it out at Dreamhack Montreal 2018 for a chance at the $10,000 total prize pool, and their spot at the Contenders Cup.

Wild Card Tournament (September 28th, 2018 – September 30th, 2018)

Didn’t make the cut in SVO or the World Circuit? This Wild Card Tournament is your last chance to make it into the Contenders Cup.

With only one Contenders Cup slot available per region, it really is winner takes all.

Contenders Cup (SEAO + PAM: October 13th, 2018 – October 14th, 2018

EURO: October 20th, 2018 – October 21st, 2018)

The Contenders Cup is what it all comes down to! The winners of SVO: Dawnbreak, Nightedge, SVO: Brigade of the Sky, the top 2018 point earners, the Shadowverse World Circuit, and the Wild Card tournament will be flown out to Los Angeles to compete LIVE!

The 8 players per region will compete for one of only three spots at the Shadowverse World Grand Prix in Japan!

Shadowverse Crucible (November 10th, 2018, November 17th, 2018 and November 24th, 2018)

After qualifying for the World Grand Prix, the three players from the PAM and EURO region will come together to compete in three weeks of show matches leading up to the World Grand Prix. Testing their mettle in each of the three game modes featured in the World Grand Prix; Rotation, Unlimited, and Take 2.

Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2018 (December 15th, 2018 – December 16th, 2018)

Everything comes down to the World Grand Prix 2018. After competing across the entirety of 2018, the 3 qualifying players from PAM and EURO and the 1 player from SEAO will be flown to Japan to compete LIVE.

On the line – the life-changing first place prize of $1,000,000 and the chance to make Esports history.
