As revealed during the End of Year Celebration, the SVO 2024 season will kick off in February with four SVO Mini events, before leading up to a large-scale tournament in June to decide one participant for the 2025 Shadowverse World Championship. Read on for more regarding the schedule and how to take part!
The SVO Mini debuted in 2023 as a five round Swiss tournament with open participation regardless of region. For 2024, we’re committed to maintaining the accessible format that made it attractive to both experienced and casual users alike, while also improving on what makes it unique among SVO events: the chance to win physical prizes.
Everyone who completes a full series of Swiss matches will be entered into a raffle to win a bumper pack of prizes, which includes everything from last year and a couple of extra goodies that we’ve made especially for 2024 (see above for some examples). Participants who crush the competition and emerge undefeated will also enter into the prestigious ‘5-0 Club,’ thereby automatically obtaining the aforementioned prizes. Previously, this was also conducted by a raffle draw.
In terms of new prizes for 2024, we’ve selected some of the community’s favorite Shadowverse characters as the faces of each SVO Mini. As part of this, you can get your hands on a custom SVO playmat featuring these characters that you can’t get anywhere else by participating in this year’s Mini tournaments. What characters will be making an appearance, you ask? Stay tuned to find out!
Building towards the Shadowverse World Championship in 2025, SVO has three slots for three participants from the SEAO and West regions. To decide one of these slots, we’ll be holding a large-scale tournament in June before the release of Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond. More details will be announced closer to the time, but one thing’s for sure: we’re going out with a bang!
