On February 24, the SVO Discord server hosted the very first SVO Theorycrafting Contest for the Resurgent Legends mini expansion. Dozens of users submitted over 30 different decks, each utilizing the card Fairy Stream in unique and interesting ways. All of them deserve a place in the spotlight, but featured below are the two decks that our star-studded judges picked as their favorites!
Taking home 10 Resurgent Legends card packs from Ignideus is user Zaneric with a Filly Wimael Turbo meme deck. Here’s what our judge had to say about it:
The first thing I thought of when I saw Fairy Stream was using the mass bounce effect to massively reduce the cost of Wimael, and with the reveal of Great Fairy Dragon with Filly, Mythmaster – this becomes a reality. I like how it uses both the new cards to form a deck with a clear plan, albeit one that isn’t meta.

The objective of this deck is to play 30 cards and end the game with Oberon accelerate. What I like the most about this build is the All-in mentality with Filly as it’s focused on being able to play Filly on turn 5 and turn 6 onwards as consistent as possible. There are notable synergies which are well thought and help the consistency of the deck: The deck has no followers with 2pp cost or less except for Fairy Dragon, it makes use of The Queen’s Favor to tutor both Oberon/Filly and Great Fairy Dragon. Filly – Great Fairy Dragon synergy looks consistent, since it has Great Fairy Dragon tutor, turn 5 Filly with additional 2pp is more than likely The extra bounce from Fairy Stream allows you to control boardspace on Filly turn better. The deck has a decent amount of draw engine and survival tools before their Filly turn which makes it feels balanced. Tho, I think the deck can be improved by including more Fairy Stream to get better control during Filly + Fairy Dragon turn.
